Gaze Contingent Experiments:

A t ool to help us learn about the role of attention in visual processing

The illustrations below show search for a letter (e.g., M) that appears among other letters.  One property that makes this a  challenging task is that all search items (both target and distract letters) consist of straight components so subjects will not be able to make the discriminations
based on low level curvature feature.
