Illusions & Eye-movements

LillacChaser-- multifaceted illusion involving apparent motion, color aftereffects & the troxler illusion.

Word jumbling has little impact on reading.

The f ollowing jumbled paragraph gained wide popularity due to its surprisingly simple illustration of how readers easily make sense of jumbled words.

What happens to the illusion & corresponding eye-movements when we modify the shape of the apparent movement?

Will eye-movements differ in jumbled vs. unjumbled conditions

to provide clues to underlying cognitive process?

Aoccdrnig to rscheearch at Havrard uinervtisy, it deosn't mttaer in waht oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist and lsat ltteer is in the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and you can sitll raed it wouthit a porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey lteter by itslef but the wrod as a wlohe. Initsereg!!
According to research at Harvard University, it doesn't matter in what order the letters in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter is in the right place. The rest can be a total mess and you can still read it without a problem. This is because we do not read every letter by itself but the word as a whole. Interesting!!
