Statistical tools can help us determine whether there is fractal structure in complicated time series. These tools can also be use to distinguish among different forms of noise-- white, brown & pink. Below is an image of the more complete file: 'Fractalanalysis.xls' which contains calculations, links to data sets & description comments which are revealed when you place your cursor over the red triangles of designated cells. After looking over how these analyses show different forms of colored noise you can look into search data files (Trials 1 & 3) to begin to get an idea of human eye-movment patterns that occur during two challenging search tasks. |
